Fresh from a stylishly standout performance in Netflix’s The Watcher and back on set for FX’s Feud: Capote’s Women, twice Oscar-nominated actor Naomi Watts is also turning her hand to something entirely new: supporting and educating women through menopause.

Naomi Watts is having a renaissance. While the twice Oscar-nominated actor has never been far from our screens since director David Lynch cast her in 2001’s Mulholland Drive, and a star turn in 2002’s The Ringsoon followed, Watts was recently initiated into the Ryan Murphy Universe. Rarely a one and done job (see Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett et al), Watts has gone right from having the most-viewed series on Netflix duringThe Watcher’s release week, to filming the second installment of Murphy’s FX anthology series, Feud. Playing Babe Paley in Feud: Capote’s Women, a socialite about whom Truman Capote once wrote, “Mrs. P. had only one fault: she was perfect; otherwise, she was perfect”, Watts is looking forward to stepping into her glamorous shoes. “I've definitely had a little try on,” she says. “We're very much at the preliminary stages and those costumes will be exquisite. She was on the style pages every year, just a complete style icon. I'm super excited. I'm getting deep into the research now and what a fascinating woman she is. Definitely different than anyone I've played before. She's an example of how women were so dignified and graceful, and always saying the right thing, and wearing the right thing; never messy or chaotic, or overt in too many ways. She was extraordinary.” Since our interview, Watts has begun filming Feud, with paparazzi photos showing her looking ultra-glamorous in a dark brown bouffant wig – Paley’s signature hairstyle. One well-documented all-beige outfit – a top, below-the-knee skirt, and matching coat with fur trim, teamed with tan leather accessories and square-framed tortoiseshell sunglasses – will no doubt start influencing fashion retailers before the show even airs. Chloë Sevigny and Calista Flockhart star alongside Watts, playing C. Z. Guest and Lee Radziwill respectively, two of Capote’s other high society “swans”.
