As season three of football dramedy Ted Lasso finally lands on Apple TV+, AMAZING catches up with its shining star, Juno Temple.

Juno Temple is on a day off from filming season three of beloved Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso when we connect over Zoom; Temple in London, where she was born, and me in her adopted hometown of Los Angeles. “I had to have my roots done today – you know keeping up with blonde is always high maintenance,” she says, her now-signature long waves pulled back in a high ponytail with not a root shadow in sight.

Temple has portrayed Keeley Jones in Ted Lasso since 2020, with the character first appearing as a classic model-slash-WAG to footballer boyfriend Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster), before finding her purpose as a public relations guru with a little help from AFC Richmond coach Ted (show co-creator Jason Sudeikis) and owner, Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham). In the process she also swapped Jamie for his teammate, Roy (Brett Goldstein), though when we last saw Keeley at the end of season two she was opening her own PR firm while Roy headed off on a six-week holiday without her.

“It’s been heaven getting back into character, because she’s like a really cosy friend that wants to make sure you’re okay,” says the 33-year-old. “She’s going through some cool shit in this season and I think where we left her, there was all this potential, so it’s going to be exciting to see the journey that Keeley goes on. I love all the people on this job so much that it's like coming back to a family.”
